Job Overview
Job title: Agronomist
Company: Lucent Biosciences, Inc.
Job description: Who we are
Lucent Biosciences is on a mission to address climate impact on global food security and nutrition by developing solutions that regenerate soils. Soileos is our first product: a cellulose-based smart micronutrient granular fertilizer and seed coating offering higher yields without the threat of runoff pollution. We’re a start-up, with under 20 employees and lots of things to do!
Our fertilizer has been tested in research greenhouses and field trials where we have confirmed the following properties: * Increased crop yields: up to 20% increase;
- Easy Application and Dosing: Soileos is non-toxic, even at high dosages, allowing for simple applications using existing equipment;
- Increased Nutrient Density: Soileos’s unique on-demand micronutrient delivery system increases nutrient density in plant tissue, seeds and sprouts, resulting in healthier & more valuable crops;
- No synthetic chemicals in your soil: Soileos uses organic cellulose instead of synthetic or salt-based carriers for micronutrients. In fact, Soileos adds bioavailable carbon to your soils;
- No polluting run-off: Soileos is sustainable, it does not leach chemicals into ground or surface water;
- Works in Alkaline Soil: Soileos performs well in alkaline soils up to pH 10.
