Overview of the opportunity

As a Corporate Finance Analyst, you will develop extensive transaction advisory experience by joining a leading mid-market M&A firm. You will join a growing multidisciplinary transactional team in the Quebec City market, and beyond. You will be involved in the day-to-day execution of our merger, acquisition, divestiture and debt and equity financings.
What you will do

  • Assist with preparation of transaction documentation such as pitch books, teasers and confidential information memorandums
  • Assist in preparing integrated financial models to support decision making for key transaction tollgates
  • Assist in identification of potential acquisition targets, purchasers and/or investors.
  • Assist with proactive business development and deal initiation activities.
  • Provide analytical and market research information (i.e. valuation ratios of public companies, sector research, etc.).
  • At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. However, he or she also receives paid time off to fulfill personal obligations.

What you bring to the role

  • CPA, CBV and/or CFA designation is an asset.
  • University degree in a relevant field to the role
  • Relevant experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory services, or public accounting is an asset
  • Technical finance proficiency, including knowledge of financial statements and general accounting principles
  • Proven track record of project execution in a similar fast-paced professional setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (French and English)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
