Our well established Oil and Gas client is seeking a Analyst, Finance & Planning in Calgary, AB

Job Overview:

Provide key support in performance monitoring, measurement and cost improvement for our In Situ operation services teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Build monthly performance analysis, stewardship reporting, and support for key financial processes
  • Act as a single point of contact into finance for one of the two operating assets (Firebag or MacKay River)
  • Guide the business through month-end results, budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and annual reserves update
  • Other duties as required

Experience & Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Five years of relevant analytical experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, economics, engineering, or other relevant education
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products, SAP/SAP-BW
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Power Pivot, and / or Power Query
  • If this position is classified as safety risk sensitive, you must also be able to pass pre-access drug & alcohol testing.
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Authorized to legally work in Canada (eligible to work in the country for the duration of the assignment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and lead competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and you can work cohesively in a dynamic team environment
