ABOUT YOUR ROLE

We are seeking an Analyst, Investment Finance to partner with key stakeholders and peers to support and engage with our powerful networks of people, opportunities, and investments. The analyst will be responsible for entering investment transactions in PSP’s systems and performing various periodic analysis related to an asset class. He/she will be also responsible of the quality of the referential data in PSP’s systems, which are used by different groups and users within the organization.

As an Analyst, Investment Finance, you’ll:

Prepare complete, accurate and timely information for accounting, reporting and management purposes, at month end, quarter end, year-end and on an ad-hoc basis

Support the quarter end and year-end valuation process for the asset class and ensure collaboration with various team

Ensure the quality of the investment’s referential data within the systems and perform data analysis from different sources: e.g legal documents, General Partner’s reporting, etc.

Prepare the monthly schedule of investments (e.g analysis of investments acquired and disposed during the month) and creation of new investments at time of acquisition

Assist in the analysis and reporting of investments transfers between PSP’s subsidiaries

Assist in department initiative and special projects

Assist in various other tasks specific to the team’s activities, including Ad Hoc requests

Build strong and professional relationship with our internal business partners

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Two (2) to five (5) years of related working experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration

Professional designation (CPA, CFA) is considered an asset

Experience in financial services is an asset

Excellent knowledge of Excel and ability to quickly master computer systems

Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance

Team spirit and ability to work in a high-performance culture

High degree of professionalism with strong spoken and written communication skills

Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
