Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and document antenna architectures, structures and PCBAs
  • Utilize your state-of-the-art simulation software skills to ensure your designs meet the intent of the requirements prior to building prototypes
  • Certify our products are delivered in accordance with the NovAtel Product Development Process including design and test data peer reviews
  • Diagnose malfunctions in existing products and make improvements or modifications to increase product reliability and/or manufacturability.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and document corrective actions
  • Support sales and marketing with product recommendations, new design suggestions, and request for quote technical assistance
  • Perform technical writing which may include proposals, reports, test procedures, and specifications
  • Assist in the planning, testing, and documentation of product performance against design, robustness, manufacturability and regulatory requirements
  • Work with key global suppliers and our NovAtel engineering team to manufacture our antennas with high yield rates

Qualifications
Must-Have:

  • MSc. Electrical Engineering (MSEE). A BSC Electrical Engineering degree with relevant years of industrial experience will be considered in lieu
  • Minimum 5 years’ related antenna design and product development experience in the defence, automotive, aerospace, agriculture, navigation industries successfully introducing antenna designs into high volume production
  • Proven knowledge of antenna design theory
  • Experience designing and measuring antenna element structures
  • Knowledge of 3D RF simulation software (HFSS, CST, FEKO, or similar)
  • Understanding of 2D RF simulation software (ADS, Designer, or similar) and PCB layout tools
  • Capability of evaluating antenna performance metrics in an anechoic environment
  • Expertise working with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment

  • PhD. Electrical Engineering
  • Experience designing GPS/GNSS antennas and antennas for WIFI and BT technologies
  • Knowledge of robustness standards (MIL-STD-810G, DO-160G)
