Job Description
The Associate, In-store Marketing and Communications Producer is responsible for managing the overall in store Marketing experience, including the communication of all in store point of purchase materials for Shoppers Drug Mart Marketing campaigns and promotions, tracking and monitoring of in-store signage placement requests, content scheduling as it relates to digital signage and in-store radio.
This role reports to the Senior Director, Production, Instore & Experiential Marketing
What you’ll do
Marketing communications
Development (writing), tracking and submission of all Marketing communications for Shoppers Drug Mart / Pharmaprix stores including but not limited to in-store signage, promotions, contests, loyalty initiatives, shopper marketing, seasonal campaigns, and special projects
Facilitation of French language translation requests for all internal marketing communications in the Quebec market
Maintenance and bi-weekly circulation of the communication workback schedule to coordinate effective and timely delivery of in-store communications (e.g. approvals, submissions, mailbag deliveries, etc.) with the In-store Marketing, Merchandising and National Operations team
Maintenance and bi-weekly circulation of the POP kit overview to review POP kit items with the In-store Marketing, merchandising and national operations team
Departmental liaison and internal support for store communication requests with various teams throughout the organization (e.g. Category Management, Merchandising and National Operations)
Development of new communication templates to ensure consistency among campaigns and categories within the marketing department
Coordination and management of meetings with internal departments (e.g. Category Management, Merchandising and National Operations) to ensure alignment, identify issues and communicate upcoming marketing initiatives
Store signage planning & scheduling
Support the marketing team on placement availability and replenishment of POP elements as required
Maintenance and weekly updates of Marketing schedules including (but not limited to) the POP kit schedule, POP placement and hot spots, POP real estate tracker, etc.
Maintenance of Marketing POP signage standards, on shelf guardrails, and campaign guidelines
In store Content and Vendor partnerships
Work closely with multiple vendors to schedule and manage content for the in store digital screens, audio, and on shelf shopper marketing programs. A key contact for the vendor, internal and store support for issues and requests pertaining to these channels.
Digital screens scheduling as it relates to marketing content and promotional messaging including invoice approvals.
Coordination and review of any vendor on shelf requests including planning, placement, approvals, and alignment based on current operating principles and guardrails.
Direct liaison between Shoppers Drug Mart and in store audio vendor including radio music selection, store specific customization, national content scheduling and production of scripts for internal messages.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively source information, obtain approvals and build relationships
Experience working with and gaining alignment from multiple internal stakeholders
Uncompromising level of attention to detail and a high degree of organizational commitment
Strong project and time management skills with proven ability to manage competing projects and prioritize accordingly
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
Ability to meet tight timelines while ensuring accuracy
Strong collaborator and enthusiastic team player
Equally able to work independently with little supervision, or as part of a team
Willingness to learn and to continually adapt
Marketing communications writing skills are considered an asset
Working knowledge of a corporate environment is an asset
University degree or college diploma in communications, journalism, public relations, Marketing or a combination of education and experience, with an emphasis on writing
A minimum of three years of relevant, applied communications experience is required
Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook)
Bilingualism (French / English) is considered an asset (both spoken and written)
