The opportunity

We are looking for an engaging and highly organized Associate Business Analyst. The Associate Business Analyst will be assigned to different initiatives/projects and is encouraged to work with various different team members and collaborators. The candidate is required to have solid understanding of tools and methodologies surrounding Business Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and participate in the documentation of business/functional requirement’s gathering; user stories; process analysis.
  • Coordinate and assist the squad with delivery support (scheduled releases, defects, organizational change).
  • Facilitate requirements, planning and product backlog review sessions with impacted collaborators.
  • Validate expectations with subject matter authorities and drive the creation of strong system specifications that enable the development and/or acquisition of appropriate systems to meet business requirements.
  • Anticipate business or project issues and risks, make recommendations to mitigate, recognize the need for flexibility and diverse solutions while coping with sophisticated situations through deliberate analysis and planning.

How will you create impact?

This individual will report to the Investment Accounting squad lead with a primary concentration on the Simcorp Dimension application. The Business Analyst’s focus will shift as business decides priorities but the immediate role will be working with NAIC related enhancements and regulatory updates as well as analyzing changes related to a large Security Master File (SMF) upgrade. This role is highly visible within the Investment Division, giving the individual a great opportunity to showcase their impact.

What we are looking for

  • Knowledge of Accounting Book of Record Systems (SimCorp Dimension).
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Accounting, Finance, Business etc…).
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Highly motivated individual with ability to multi-task and complete deliverables within time constraints and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of capital markets and key Accounting and Administrative Book of Record subject matter: fixed income, equity, derivatives, private debt, alternative investments, multi-framework accounting platform, period closure, corporate actions, National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) reporting.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between $58,100.00 CAD – $107,900.00 CAD
