The Finance Team manages the performance and risk profile of Bell, ensuring the needs of customers, investors and employees are balanced with long-term business success. Bell Canada’s Finance Process Improvement team forms part of the overall Finance team reporting to the Controller and CFO. The mission of the Process Improvement team is to leverage Bell’s investments in its core financial systems, improve business, increase operational efficiency and stimulate innovation.

Job Description:

The Finance Process Improvement team is looking for a new member to joint the team dedicated to delivering Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Reporting to the Senior Manager leading the initiative, you will work side-by-side with teammates from a variety of backgrounds, being responsible for the end-to-end implementation of automation projects with developed Automation Anywhere. You will constantly interact with internal business stakeholders and subject matter experts to support all phases of the automation development and maintenance. You will also collaborate with other automation development teams.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Identify new cases, gather requirements and process flow.
  • Record process steps, prepare AS is documentation (PDD) and get it approved by business stakeholders.
  • Prepare documentation required for automation development, tests and maintenance.
  • Recommend RPA approach and strategy based on analysis.
  • Design and develop new automations using Automation Anywhere.
  • Liaise/collaborate with the automation development using Alteryx.
  • Complete UAT – User Acceptance Testing and gather mandatory testing evidence.
  • Monitor automations in Production and solve issues that arise. Report, track, and address defects.
  • Deploy new versions of updated software and enhanced automations.

Critical Qualifications / Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Computer Science; or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of development experience in Automation Anywhere.
  • Advanced Excel VBA/Macro skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Advanced French is a plus.
  • Good written skills with the ability to produce clear, detailed and accurate documentation.
  • Capacity to take a proactive role with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with projects and systems development.

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies

  • Experience with SAP.
  • Previous programming experience with Alteryx.
  • Knowledge Visual Basic and SQL.
