St. James Volkswagen is an AutoCanada dealership. The Delivery Coordinator will assist the sales team in ensuring exceptional client satisfaction through the delivery process. All new and used clients will receive an enthusiastic, professional delivery of their vehicle. You will work with the client to explain the features of the vehicle, including: all the basic functions, and higher technology functionality, walk through the warranty and owner’s manuals and coordinate the clients first service appointment before turning over the keys.

*The schedule for this role is part-time. One day a week and Saturdays. No evenings.*

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule delivery time convenient for Client, provide customized delivery based on Client’s preference as required. Ensure that the vehicle is detailed, full of fuel, has all requested accessories installed and is in delivery area ready for Client.
  • Pre-load navigation system with points-of-interest based upon Client’s interests, pre-set radio to favourite stations when possible.
  • Demonstrate Interior and Exterior vehicle features and personalize the delivery to align with the Client’s needs.
  • Demonstrate technology features and provide Client with support information and material for future reference, including OnStar OVD, Dealer Maintenance Notification and Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Enroll in my brand app and set the dealer as the preferred dealership.
  • Transfer license plate and other personal items to new vehicle.
  • Communicate the benefits of owning the vehicle purchased as well as the dealership services and amenities.
  • Explain warranties and all documents.
  • Complete necessary Client registration according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Familiarize Client with Service department personnel and Service areas.
  • Present keys and relevant documents to Client.
  • Thank Client and offer congratulations.
  • Work closely with department managers to ensure Client satisfaction.
  • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards.
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participate in required training.
  • Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
  • Follow safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experience in the Automotive industry is preferred.
  • Experience in the Hospitality industry may be considered.
  • Conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate information accurately, clearly, and as intended.
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines.
  • Phenomenal interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer services skills and ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal individuals.
  • Sound, practical business judgment, and a problem-solving, client focused, results oriented approach.
  • Excellent document creation, reviewing and proofreading skills with a high level of proficiency related to business correspondence and communications.
  • Process-oriented; superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Results-driven and career focused individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to be successful.
  • Valid driver’s license.
