Job Description

We are seeking a full-time driver from Monday-Friday starting at 4:00am to join our team in London, Ontario. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from our recycling facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate an AZ-class commercial vehicle to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
• Safely load and unload metal materials and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Perform manual tarping if necessary
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules, report any issues or delays, and maintain efficient communication channels

Qualifications

• Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
• Experience driving 18 speed, manual transmission is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AZ Driver, preferably in a transportation or logistics setting
• Excellent driving skills and ability to navigate various road and traffic conditions
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and practices
• Customer service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials is an asset
