Job description: What is the opportunity?
RBC Dominion Securities located in Victoria, BC is looking for a full time Branch Technology Specialist/Administrative Assistant to join their team. You will act as a facilitator to manage the technology needs of the branch and you will also assist with the daily operations of the branch. The successful candidate should be familiar with current basic technologies and have some experience in the financial field. For more information, please visit:
What will you do?
- Manage branch’s technology hardware and software matters in a facilitator capacity including submitting tickets for telephone, computer, and software set ups, changes and cancellations
- Troubleshooting of technology issues including managing hardware inventory
- Preparing monthly cost allocation reports
- Provide initial user training
- Provide general administration support in a Branch floater capacity and provide back-up support to Branch Operations Dept. and Investment Advisor teams as needed
- Reception activities, Deposit & Disbursement postings, Account opening approvals, Transactional reviews and approvals, scanning, filing and other activities as identified.
- Answering phones, preparing account opening documents, submitting cheque, EFT and Bankwire requests, Submitting account servicing requests i.e. RSP/TFSA/RESP contributions & withdrawals
- Preparing and processing client LOAs Letters of Authorization), Assembling portfolio review information, Assisting client’s with on-line accesses, Report retrievals and other activities as identified.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and Video Conferencing software
- A working knowledge of products (such as RRIFs, LIFs, RSPs, LIRAs, RESPs & TFSAs) used in the Investment Industry
- Experience dealing with the public and delivering timely professional client service experiences
- Administrative experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to successfully multi-task, effective communications skills, strong technology integration skills, ability to received direction from multiple individuals, has a strong eye for attention to details, and ability to deal with varying personalities
Nice to Have
- Undergraduate degree
- A familiarity with the Securities industry
