OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Retail Division in Saint John, New Brunswick, supporting Kent Building Supplies, Chandler Sales, Atlas Structural Systems and Plasticraft Digital & Specialty Printing. The successful candidate in this role will help to navigate our path into the digital future. This will mean jumping right in, taking ownership, and applying critical thinking that pushes the status quo. Responsibilities will include eliciting and documenting the actual needs of stakeholders—which frequently involves investigating and clarifying their expressed desires—to determine underlying business requirements.
With support, Business Analysts enable change within JDI by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders while also considering the potential implications of technology in the current business environment.
The Details
Business analysis is central to initiatives within the JDI enterprise. These can be strategic, tactical, and operational. This environment will provide opportunity to work within the boundaries of a project or throughout enterprise evolution and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:
Modernizing processes through leveraging of technologies
Understanding customer demand versus IT supply
Understanding key business data and quality
Performing requirements elicitation & documentation
Building use cases (definition and development) and developing test cases
Documenting business processes using BPMN
Understanding capability of analytics tools and enabling business to act from analytical insight
Managing integrity, confidentiality and security of all datasets
Expediting data analysis and reporting
Understanding the risk tolerance/profile of the business
Collaborating with design and architecture
Translating business process model to technical realization
You have:
A University Degree in a related discipline
At least 3 years work experience in a business environment
Preferably experience in an IT work environment
Expert experience in Microsoft Technologies, particularly in O365
Experience with securely integrating external and internal systems
You are:

Technically inclined, process oriented and driven by a natural curiosity

An information addict – learning new skills and software applications is second nature

Organized, analytical and business savvy
Extras:
eCommerce or retail environment experience
White Belt Certification
Business Process Modeling, Blue Belt Certification
Entry Certification in Business Analysis (ECBA), Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations, Microsoft MPOS, Microsoft O365, Visio, TT Perform
