Reports to the Manager, Business Development, N&P.

This position is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and is available for remote work.

What you will do:

• Coordinate and assess business development opportunities for nitrogen and phosphate
• Develop accurate financial models to measure and track the delivery of strategic improvements across the N&P business
• Work across the business to develop financial business cases and plans for improvement projects
• Work with multiple stakeholders to collect data and accurate information for consideration in financial analysis and business case development
• Support in the data collection and analysis of multiple initiatives to drive improvements across the business
• Develop strong relationships with key business partners, including the marketing and plant finance teams
• Support and facilitate business planning meetings with business partners
• Develop, maintain and complete key business partner reports
• Complete ad hoc analysis, projects and initiatives as assigned

What you will bring:

• A university degree in accounting, finance, marketing or commerce
• Professional designation (CPA, CBV or CFA) or MBA
• 6 – 8 years related and progressive work experience in a business or financial analysis role
• Demonstrated sense of urgency and a strong commitment to achieving deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to perform in an ambiguous environment; can quickly adapt to changes in schedule and direction
• Ability to work in a multi-tasking, deadline-oriented team environment, and interface with various levels of management and leadership
• Ability to think strategically and an attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to changes in schedules and direction when necessary
• Curious, proactive and enjoy working in a collaborative, supportive team environment
• Positive attitude and a team spirit
• Excellent data skills
• Exceptional analytical acumen with capacity to identify, scope and solve complex problems
• Background in business partnering with a strong desire to add value to the business, as well as a mindset for continuous improvement
• Experience in designing and utilizing financial models
• Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with SAP, HANA, Hyperion, Power Query and Power BI would be an asset
