Department Overview

If you love numbers and have a good analytical mind this position represents an exciting challenge for you. You will thrive in a dynamic team whose mandate is to analyze marketing campaigns, revenue and claims of TD Insurance’s. You will be asked to produce forecast and various analyses and reports using company data. These analyses will allow you to work with a team of dynamic professionals who understand and define different business needs in line with strategic initiatives within TD Insurance. Job Description

Main responsibilities

Analysis: Perform complex analysis on portfolio and transactions.
o Summarize complex information and explain it clearly to be able to communicate results to business unit leaders.
o Educate business partners and build awareness on how to interpret the data and analytics to drive decision making that will move the business forward.
o Perform analysis, translating data into information, and answering business questions (hypotheses, testing, data gathering, analysis, story building, and communication to stakeholders).
o Interpret analytic outputs and data by using visualization to illustrate business insights.

Forecast, trend analysis and results monitoring: Analyze trends, create forecasts and explain variances on key performance metrics.
o Perform statistical analysis on observed trends, explain variances and propose enhancement to forecasting models.
o Create, maintain and use statistical forecasting models in order to forecast key business metrics.

Extract, Transform and Visualize data: create data extractions, treatments and validations with PL/SQL, Oracle and SAS.
o Access data warehouse to extract data relevant to analysis.
o Clean and validate data to ensure quality and usability.

Requirements

Profile sought

Bachelors or Master’s degree in actuarial, mathematics, statistics, finance, economic, informatic, business science or any other relevant discipline (if combined with relevant experience).
Followed by at least two (2) years of relevant experience:
o Experience in Analytics, Data Analysis, Statistical Analysis
o Experience in P&C insurance
Excellent academic results could be considered.
Bilingual (English and French).
Has strong organizational and time management skills
Be rigorous and very analytical. Oriented towards quality.
Master Tableau, Jira & Confluence, Excel, VBA and programming in SQL, R, Python.
Demonstrate highly developed analytical skills.
Work efficiently in a team setting.
Have the ability to synthesize analysis results.
Be independent and persistent.
Be creative in finding new solutions to complex problems.
Know how to manage time and multiple projects simultaneously.
Autonomous and perseverant; shows initiative and creativity in his/her work.
Highly adaptable for discussion with stakeholders of different departments.
