Job description: Our client in the NW of Edmonton is looking for an experienced and certified forklift operator to join their growing warehouse team! They are starting to get busy and adding a brand new team of Operators for various shifts. If you would like to work for a company that values hard work, teamwork, and a “get-it-done” attitude, with a solid track record of safety for their employees, then read on!
Qualifications:
- Current forklift certification, with proven proficiency in the Counterbalance forklift.
- 2 – 3 years of warehouse experience.
- Experience loading, unloading, and maneuvering heavy long loads.
- Must be a good communicator and proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Accountable and responsible to proactively and effectively resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Steel-toed boots in good repair.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading heavy products.
- Identify and prepare orders for shipment, inspecting for any flaws or damage.
- Regular safety inspections of the forklift, communicating any issues directly to the supervisor.
- Work variable shifts including evenings, nights, or weekends, and at times the opportunity for overtime.
