Job title: CFO – Chief Financial Officer

Job description: Our York Region client is in the Construction/Building Development industry. They are seeking a highly capable CFO (Contract).

The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting aspects of the company’s operations and providing strategic financial guidance to support their growth objectives.

Job Duties

• Providing day-to-day financial operations leadership.

• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s growth and profitability.

• Provide financial analysis and guidance to the senior management team to support decision-making.

• Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.

• Oversee the company’s financial planning and budgeting processes.

• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.

• Manage the company’s cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to support operations and growth.

• Identify and mitigate financial risks and implement risk management strategies.

• Work closely with the CEO and senior management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team and ensure they effectively manage their responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Mandatory requirement – prior experience in Real Estate Construction and Development industry

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• CPA or equivalent professional certification.

• 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least five years of experience in a senior financial management position.

• Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
