Right now we’re looking for a Clerical Support Associate to work in our Outpatient Rehab Department.
Hours of work: Available to work Days Monday to Friday
Hourly rate: $26.805 – $27.744
Employee Group: Teamsters – Clerical
Location: Humber River Health – Wilson
Responsibilities:
- Answers general patient inquiries, telephone inquiries and supports the effective flow of incoming and outgoing Hospital information.
- Registers (both pre-registration and post registration) patients/clients on the Hospital Information System (in patient)
- Process patients’ documents and records in the applicable patient information system.
- Orders supplies for program with manager’s approval.
- Enters Time entry data in Payroll system for manager approval.
- Oversees mail system, faxes, and photocopies
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Completion of a Community College Medical Secretary Diploma an asset
- Minimum 1 year recent clerical/office administration experience in a health care setting required
- Good keyboarding skills, with minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
- MEDITECH computer experience required
- A good working knowledge of basic related medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
