This position reports to the Director, Network, Cloud & Data Centers.
What you will do:
- Lead the design and development of cloud infrastructure and cloud services and be a leader of cloud reference architecture
- Develop automation strategy, collect, evaluate ideas, and roll out an innovation process
- Provide deep software knowledge to application developers with respect to the cloud architecture, design patterns, and programming languages
- Troubleshoot and develop remediation plans for cloud services related issues
- Design and Implement an underlying framework for repeatable migrations
- Aid in the development of a Cloud Financial Management Framework
- Architect cloud native solutions utilizing cloud-native best practices (e.g. serverless and microservices)
- Establish architectural standards that enable Security compliant DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, and automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
- Advise application developers on AWS / Azure best practices
- Continuously manage, monitor, and update architecture models as business needs evolve and additional cloud services become available
- Communicate with business leaders and evangelizing Cloud technology to both executives and managers within the business to drive cloud vision
- Design solution-independent architecture models that map business services to cloud application stacks
- Working understanding of key functions such as IT Finance, Security, Data, and Architecture to drive CCOE priorities
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- 10 + years of experience with technical architecture, network management, database management or operations
- Require 3+ years of software/application development experience OR Solution Architecture and Operations Experience with AWS, Azure and other Cloud Platforms
- Preferred 1+ year in a management role or leadership position
- Preferred Technical Experience:
- CICD – Terraform, Circle CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Jira, GitHub, Ansible, AWS Systems Manager, etc.
- Monitoring and Analytics – CloudHealth, Azure Monitor, Service NOW
- Security – Azure AD, MS MFA, Prisma, Splunk
- Scripting & Languages – Python, Bash, Java
- Extensive hands-on experience and thorough understanding of AWS & Azure architecture, development, deployment, and test automation consuming cloud native services
- Experience and thorough understanding of Agile/Scrum development, DevSecOps, CI/CD process and tools
- Dedication to continuous improvement and optimization of Cloud offerings
- Innovative and ability to think outside the box for creative problem solving
Recommended Training:
- AWS-Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- AWS-Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Microsoft-Certified Azure Fundamentals
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range $81,900 – $117,000 USD. This is the range estimated for a Cloud Specialist in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may be different based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
