This role is accountable for supporting the Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting team with monthly and quarterly financial reporting. The role will also support the Revenue Assurance team with daily reconciliations between Card Brand Association reports, Moneris system calculations, bank reports, as well as Merchant contract verification and validation.

Note:

This is a 4-month or 8-month co-op internship role, commencing in the fall of 2021.

You will be accountable for:

• Participating in the month-end close by supporting the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assisting with ad-hoc reporting requirements for internal stakeholders.
• Conducting daily data loads, including reviewing interchange rates to ensure rates agree to interchange standards issued by the Card Brand Association, as well as reconciling total interchange from the Card Brand Association reports to the bank.
• Merchant contract auditing to ensure agreed upon rates are correctly set up in Moneris systems.

Your experience includes:

• Currently enrolled full time in a Business, Finance, Accounting or related program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Team oriented with the ability to accept responsibility and work with minimal supervision.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills including ability to conduct quantitative analysis.
