Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Community Screener / Site Navigator to join the Strathcona Team Rehabilitation Program team working at 312 Main Street in Vancouver, BC. Apply today to join our team!
As an Community Screener / Site Navigator at Vancouver Coastal Health you will:
- Work in a team based environment to provide a variety of duties supporting the maintenance of specific site procedures such as administering symptom screening questionnaires and providing information and handouts regarding access to services.
- Provide a welcoming, informative, and respectful presence for individuals accessing services at the health care site and ensures that established site procedures and guidelines are followed with an emphasis on safety and infection prevention & control.
- Be responsible for greeting and engaging with individuals accessing services at the site and asks individuals questions regarding potential symptoms using established and provided scripts and forms.
- Provide information about site services and directs individuals to appropriate areas and other site personnel, responds to requests for information, and general information about services.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Grade 12, and one year’s recent related experience in a health care or customer service environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to be sensitive, tactful and diplomatic with clients and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with others.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
