AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Recreation Programmer/Community Programs Coordinator/ Recreation Supervisor, this position is responsible for professionally preparing and serving refreshments while providing excellent customer service.
- Responsible for the preparation and serving of food and drinks
- Follow operating and food preparation standards
- Responsible for opening and closing procedures as scheduled
- Provide a high level of front line customer service including greeting and engaging customers in product selection
- Clean equipment and keep concessions area safe and tidy
- Complete administrative duties in a timely manner (eg. verify float, record spoilage, revenue documentation, opening and closing procedures)
- Anticipate volume and prepare food/stock to meet demand
- Check and replace stock and complete inventory counts
- Report all concerns, accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor for follow up and take appropriate action
- Maintain complete vigilance while on duty and be ready to respond to any emergency situation
- Utilize POS system to complete sales transactions and end of shift report
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff
- Attend meetings/training as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Minimum 15 years of age
- Current Standard First Aid / CPR C from an accredited organization, or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire
- Food Handler’s Certification, or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire
- Courteous and personable
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
**Preference will be given to students that have a permanent residency in Brampton.
**Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria.
