Job Summary

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for selling concessions to customers at various events.

As a Concessions Stand Lead, you will:

  • Stand management completing daily inventory counts
  • Help to oversee daily operations and supervise the cashiers, support staff, bartenders
  • Lead, train, coach, and mentor a small team
  • Sell concessions to customers at events
  • Perform sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion. Enter sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
  • Make change, accept acceptable forms of payment and issue receipts to customers. Follow standard procedures for cash handling
  • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring that the cash drawer follows overage/shortage standards
  • Perform duties: replenishing condiments and general supplies and maintaining cleanliness concession area
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements

About you:

  • Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, and courtesy
  • ProServe certification required
  • Spirits and/or Wine service education would be an asset
  • You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
  • Experience working in a concession, food preparation, or food handling environment is an asset
  • Experience operating iPad with Square technology is an asset
