Job Opening Information

Inverness Homes currently has an opening for a qualified Site Superintendent to construct a three storey 42 unit Apartment Building with underground parking in the Almonte area. This job posting is a full-time position that would start immediately. We offer a competitive market salary for this position.

Qualifications

· Minimum 6+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent on building construction.

· Possess a high level of technical understanding and experience as it relates to the Canadian Construction Industry, including planning, scheduling, layout, quality control and hands on practical trade related experience.

· Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office.

· Bilingualism is an asset but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

· Assist project management team in the preparation of the project schedule.

· Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis.

· Be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

· Provide lead supervision of all subcontractors and vendors.

· Control and monitor labor, material, and equipment expenses.

· Be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

· Provide on-site coordination for all subcontractors, material, and equipment.

· Ensure that the specifications are being followed, & work is proceeding on schedule & within budget.

· Maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of the OHSA are enforced.

· Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control.

· Ensure that “as-built” drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades.

· Prepare and manage project deficiency program.

· Supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure adequate material and manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed.
