Job description: Pathways Skill Development and Placement Centre assists individuals to overcome multiple challenges to meaningful employment by providing employability assessments, job search strategies, training and employment placement services. Pathways is also involved a variety of social enterprise projects designed to open opportunities for our clients.

Pathways Skill Development has an available position for a Construction Technology Training Instructor. In this role you will be responsible for all elements of a program designed to give individuals the necessary theory and hands-on skills for entry level employment in the construction field. You will have the daily opportunity to move people forward to confidence and self-sustainability.

You bring 5-7 years’ experience in the construction industry along with related facilitation experience. You have current knowledge of industry processes, technology, building code and regulations. In addition, you are competent in a wide number of construction skills including carpentry, electrical and plumbing. Along with these hard skills, you have the ability to communicate the “soft” skills required for success in the workplace. Your certification to teach Working at Heights is an important asset as well.

In this role you will have the opportunity to facilitate training sessions, improve and update curriculum, coach and mentor participants and participate in the meaningful work of assisting individuals to Build New Futures.
