You’ll be responsible for delivering on projects, leading execution teams and supporting sales to an extent. This is a developmental leadership role, but also a hands-on consulting role combining sales support and delivery responsibilities in a complex and integrated environment, which can be multifunctional, multinational, and multisite!

What you’ll create and do:

As a Senior Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

This role will be responsible to deliver work across our industries as well as provide support to sales efforts in the form of proposals and occasional client and market-facing presentations. Our approach covers end-to-end development and delivery of Logistics & Distribution projects including Network Design and Analysis, DC Design, advising clients in the digitalization of their logistics and distribution processes/facilities.

PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Lead end to end network strategy projects including the use of Llamasoft for large complex projects and centre of gravity models.

Lead end-to-end distribution center (DC) transformation engagements focused on identifying improvement opportunities including automation, preparation of transformation business cases, overseeing the design of future state including AutoCAD/Revit layouts and implementation of the chosen solution.

Ability to use client data such as sales volume, SKU count, growth etc. to perform pre-slotting and cubing to determine future sizing of the distribution center using tools such as Alteryx or SAS

Ability to lead the drafts team to create future state DC layouts in AutoCAD/Revit including location of mobile and fixed MHE based on the pre-slotting information

Assist clients in the identification of potential automation technology solutions, justified by the business case, which could help enable supply chain excellence (e.g. Dematic, Witron, Knapp, SSI-Schaeffer etc.)

Ability to work with the team to create required business cases to justify the proposed design to client executive steering committees.

Work with client stakeholders on the execution of the chosen plan while supporting their core operations and key business needs.

Lead and have the ability to perform slotting functions during the implementation phase of the project.

Create the strategy for fixed and mobile Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience including conventional racking, automation, mobile equipment etc.

Act as the MHE expert during the RFP strategy phase of procurement of equipment

Performance management, governance and control across supply chain functions; and

Project and change management in support of Supply Chain Transformations

Engagement Management

• Establish credibility with prospective clients by demonstrating expertise and knowledge of supply chain operations more specifically in the field of Logistics & Distribution
• Manage engagement teams in the production of quality deliverables on time as per client expectations and on budget;

Support Business Development

• Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers at key clients;
• Contribute to pursuit teams and proposal development including innovative approaches and methodologies; and

People Development

• Perform role of a project and career coach by coaching and developing team members to create a high performing team environment;
• Develop and deliver training and share knowledge across the global PwC network

What you’ll bring to this role:

• In depth knowledge of DC Design/layout and implementation strategies including AutoCAD/Revit layouts, cubing, pre-slotting, slotting, determination of required FTE, mobile equipment and associated MHE, while utilizing best in class process and automation as required
• In-depth knowledge of Network strategy and network design
• Relevant DC Design and implementation experience, preferably in a management consulting environment
• In-depth understanding of supply chain processes and associated value drivers and frameworks
• Working experience of analytical tools such as Alteryx and/or SAS
• Interpretation experience using CAD tools such as AutoCAD/Revit etc.
• Knowledge in business process improvement techniques, including Lean will be considered an asset
• Exceptional project and change management skills
• Working knowledge of project management tools such as MS-Project
• Strong understanding of related disciplines, including procurement/sourcing, enterprise asset management, maintenance and finance is a definite asset
• Professional Engineering designation will be considered an asset
• The ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally will also be expected in this role with an expectation of between 25% to 75% travel
