What will your typical day look like?

You will play a pivotal role on a collaborative engagement team with responsibilities that range from analyzing client issues and interviewing key personnel to developing recommendations and authoring presentations. You will have the opportunity to leverage your professional background and skills by specializing immediately or by gaining exposure to several industries and competencies during your first few years with the firm.

As a member of the Enterprise, Technology and Performance offering, in the Finance & Performance team you will help clients achieve the maximum possible impact and value from their investments in Finance and Accounting using a holistic view of key business functions from strategy articulation through process design and technology enablement. You will spend your time collaborating with other Deloitte team members, engaging in client meetings, working through client deliverables and key documentation.

About the team

Our Finance & Performance practice supports the Finance and Accounting function of an organization in designing, implementing, and delivering solutions for finance strategies, processes, operations and supporting technologies. Our team supports many types of clients across Canada including medium and large enterprises within all major industries. We work within various team sizes ranging from 2-3 people up to 100+ team members and collaborate on projects with Oracle, SAP, Workday, Supply Chain, and Human Capital. We lead our clients’ exploration and application of emerging digital technologies in order to improve efficiency and provide more accurate and timely information to enable better decision making. Within the F&P team you will work with a top-performing group of individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and identities to develop leading-edge solutions for clients. Enough about us, let’s talk about you

In this role, the expected qualifications are:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary degree program and returning to school following completion of this co-op term, pursuing Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Math, Commerce, Data Science, Analytics, Business or other relevant degree
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with competing deadlines and rapidly evolving client needs and conditions
  • Able to demonstrate strong technical proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Interested in ERP or Finance and Accounting technology solutions
  • Interested in or currently pursuing a CPA
  • Able to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with creative ability to conceptualize and articulate new approaches and solutions. For the Montreal office, verbal and written communication in French is required

Ottawa Only: Employees in the Ottawa consulting practice will be required to obtain “reliability” and/or “Secret” level federal security clearances as a condition of their employment. To be eligible for a “Reliability” status you must have resided in Canada for the last five (5) years and for “Secret” level the last ten (10) years.
