Position Description:

• This position is a contract part-time and will require someone who can work 20 hours per week.
• The Medical Billing Agent compiles, processes, verifies, and submits OHIP billing for payments for our Ontario clinics, specifically PFT testing (our physicians are specialists).
• This role includes correcting and re-submitting ALL rejected claims
• This role includes remittance review and processing and verifying physician payments.
• This role interacts with physicians and the accounting team and follows up on any unpaid claims and OHIP collections.
• This role requires BlueCross pre-authorization, invoice submission via web portal

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have 1 year+ of experience compiling, verifying, submitting, and reconciling OHIP billing.
• Experience dealing with specialized physician billings and high-volume medical billing is a strong asset.
• Professional, organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and responsive.
• Familiarity with EMR (Accuro) is also a strong asset.

Job Type: Part-time, Virtual

Experience: OHIP and BlueCross Billing: 1 year (minimum)

Wage: Starting at $20/ hour
