Location: Saint-Laurent / LaSalle
Our client, a successful consumer good distributor and manufacturer, is looking to hire a Controller to help them manage the accounting department. As a Controller, you will be responsible for the financial management, the administration of accounting systems, preparation of reports, and maintenance of accounting records. The Controller is a proactive individual who is the main support to the President.
Responsibilities:
– Lead the day-to-day accounting and financial statement for 3 companies
– Analyze and advise on revenue, expenses, and balance sheet
– Develop, document, and enforce business processes and accounting policies
– Manage budgeting and cash flow forecasting
– Manage and oversee accounts payable and receivables
– Maintain general ledger and reconciliation of all accounts
– Manage and oversee inventory and payroll
– Coordinate activities for external Accountants as it relates to year-end
– Provide monthly financials to the shareholders
– Create, model, and update financial projections
– Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments
– Supervise all audit and internal control processes
– Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance
– Recognize patterns in company spending and revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas
– Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
– At least 5 years of experience in financial management
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
– Analytical mind with good organizational skills
– Outstanding leadership skills
– Ability to lead departments and individuals
– Strong creative skills to develop new and innovative solutions
