True Key Hotels & Resorts proudly manages Nootka Marine Adventures at the Moutcha Bay Resort, located at the mouth of the Conuma River just 40 minutes west of Gold River, in the beautiful sheltered waters of Nootka Sound, BC. It is easily accessible by car, float plane or boat. Moutcha Bay Resort provides a unique collection of wilderness accommodation, adventure products and services not otherwise found in our region, such as guided fishing, wildlife tours, kayak tours, boat & equipment rentals, and an onsite full-service restaurant. Visitors find the drive with the beautiful lake and forest scenery an added bonus.

The Conuma Grill Restaurant Supervisor is a dynamic leadership role that is responsible for delivery exceptional guest experience in a elevated pub/grill environment. Attention to presentation and a thorough understanding of our menu, our company, and our clients is appreciated to offer a seamless and enjoyable dining opportunity. You can expect a fast paced, challenging, and fun working environment that prioritizes safety, sanitation, and guest experience.

Anticipated start date: May 15th – June 30th
Anticipated end date: August 20th – September 15th

Contract length subject to change based on the demands of the season.

Position requirements include and are not limited to:

  • Minimum two years leadership experience in the hospitality/service industry
  • A service driven individual dedicated to the guest experience and cleanliness
  • An attention to detail and a commitment to safety, sanitation, and professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communication
  • Physical ability to lift 30lbs
  • Physical ability to work while walking and standing for prolonged periods
  • Proven experience scheduling and leading a team of servers, bartenders, bussers and a host in a fast paced restaurant
  • Ability to motivate and empower a team
  • Experience with POS, inventory control, and other hospitality/food and beverage software
  • Experience with Auphan is an asset
  • Experience with inventory management
  • An exceptionally organized individual
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Serving It Right
  • Food Safe Level 1

Duties of this position include and are not limited to:

  • Schedule a team of servers, bussers, and bartenders to ensure appropriate coverage of hours of operation.
  • Conduct inventories of FOH supplies, non-alcoholic beverages, and alcoholic beverages on a weekly basis or as needed.
  • Order supplies as needed, anticipating demand based on forecast occupancy
  • Adhere to Canada Food Inspection Agency handling and sanitation standards
  • Adhere to Nootka Marine Adventures Covid 19 Safety and Sanitation protocols
  • Work in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing team to promote specials, events, and the Conuma Grill in general
  • Coach and inspire staff in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Anticipate challenges and have a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Work side by side with serving team to ensure processes and procedures are kept current with operational practices and needs.
  • Manage your time effectively by focusing on only those things which will contribute to you meeting your objectives.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication of objectives and coordination with Food & Beverage team and other departments.
  • Clear communication to guests, members, team members, contractors and vendors.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
