TD IT Architecture covers TD’s overall technology strategy, direction, standards for designing and/or developing an architecture framework including technology architecture strategy, policies, guiding principles and standards to govern how technology solutions will be developed and implemented across the organization. Architects typically develop and maintain any combination of the following: solution and application architecture, infrastructure environment architecture, technical integration architecture, data strategies and models, security and enterprise architecture.

Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

• 10+ years’ experience in Information Technology
• 5+ years’ experience as a Solutions Architect
• Advanced knowledge on different architecture/design techniques encompassing Integration (e.g. APIs, Kafka), Big Data, Security and Infrastructure
• Experienced in Agile methodologies e.g. SAFe
• Demonstrated success supporting major & complex projects, interacting effectively to review requirements, assess options and deliver solutions
• Demonstrated success in integrating complex vendor products and SaaS solutions
• Knowledgeable in technologies related to Regulatory Risk, Corporate Finance & Technology Risk Domains
• Experience in RegTech & Integrated Risk Management suite of products. E.g. OFSAA, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in defining, designing and implementing architecture current and target states
• Solid understanding of Public Cloud (Azure preferred), Hybrid Cloud and Security design patterns
• Proven leadership and organizational awareness skills and desire to contribute to and drive architecture strategy considering changing technologies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to document and present complex technology solutions to tech and non-tech stakeholders
• Innovation mindset with ability to continuously learn and provide industry best practices and emerging trends to architecture solutions and delivery
• Azure/GCP/AWS fundamentals certified

About This Role

We are looking for someone to develop and maintain architecture frameworks to support the most efficient, reliable, scalable and secure options to meet TD’s business and technology strategy needs. Get ready to plan, evaluate, recommend and design architectural solutions while keeping within enterprise standards. Meaningful work is fueled by meaningful performance and career development conversations with your manager. Here’s some of what you may be asked to perform:

• Architectural specialist that works cooperatively and as a leader on highly complex and diverse projects/ issues
• Primary subject matter expert with specialized knowledge related to architecture of multiple TD applications and/or lines of business.
• Leverage deep technology expertise and lead architecture discussions aligned with Technology and Business Target End State
• Foresees architectural issues / gaps and identifies emerging industry trends (i.e. future-focused)
• Influences product direction and integrates technology from an architectural perspective within the business and IT environments
• Works with external vendors and service providers as needed to ensure compliance with TD Architectural and Security standards
• Works closely with Delivery managers and various teams to complete projects
• Provides recommendations on value-added architectural improvements / enhancements.
• Ensure that all projects that are considered architecturally significant are presented properly at the appropriate architecture review boards and any action items received are addressed
• Other duties as assigned
