One of our major banking clients is looking for a Corporate Financial Technology Recruiter (Bank/Finance)
Length: Contract term is 1 year with a strong possibility of extension or Full Time Employment
Location: Canada
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm
Role Mandate:
The Recruitment Team for TOCA within Bank works on both T&O portfolio and Corporate portfolio. The team does recruiting of individuals for the TOCA from junior-level entry roles all the way to executives – a full range of skillsets. The recruiters will be working on senior management roles; thus, these individuals will be required to bring market knowledge to the table. Candidates, once onboarded, will be given a crash course on all the LOBs they will support, which will provide a first-hand account of the business’ needs.

This role allows the candidate(s) to work in an established institution and with multiple groups within Bank, which will allow candidate(s) to build effective skills and confidence. The individual is exposed to other lines of business, as there are lots of opportunities for learning, growth, and development. The technology team is currently amid a 5-year transformation plan, shifting their technology stack by working with modern technology, programs, and applications where it is more in-tune with the market.
Group Culture:
The recruiters will be working in a collaborate, fast-paced and friendly environment, interacting with other LOBs and recruitment associates. Recruiters will be doing inbound and outbound activities to source. There is access to the latest and greatest technology tools to assist in the role, including the CRM database and LinkedIn Recruiter access. Team chat is available throughout the day for team members to communicate. Teams are very supportive of one another and work is mainly individual.
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Recruiters are assigned a bench of roles and focus on a skillset (not always end-to-end)
- Sourcing candidates for different lines of businesses
- Technology recruiters will be sourcing within the T&O space; Corporate recruiters will be sourcing within the Corporate space
- Running intake conversations with the hiring managers to understand requirements of the roles
- Ensuring the job description matches the requirements of the role
- Posting roles outside in the market
- Running own searches to source and find ideal candidates
- Scheduling interviews in for the hiring managers
- Collecting feedback from interviews, building out offers, and presenting offers to candidates
- Day-to-day is full cycle recruitment process (depends where the recruiters are in their search)
- Meeting benchmarks based on LOBs within the organization
Must-Have Skills:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role for T&O Recruiter
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role for Corporate Recruiter
- T&O Recruiter – Looking at developers, cloud technology, and digital skill sets; full-stack individuals who can work on both sides, such as automation and AI (not always looking at one skillset)
o Recruiters will have similar roles in their bench, sourcing similar skillsets for different LOBs
- Corporate Recruiter – Every area within Bank, from HR Marketing, Finance, Risk, Anti-Money Laundering, etc.
o Senior recruiter required to handle senior managers and directors
o Seasoned recruiter who understands financial services and how they operate (has worked in such areas / spaces and have that level of knowledge)
o Understand how these functions support and interact with the LOBs
- Superior client management skills, able to effectively & persuasively present information
- Strong business acumen, with an ability to interpret business direction and realign/develop/recruiting strategies and refine tactics accordingly
- A strong preference for individuals with experience in high volume recruitment specifically with a focus on financial services, technology recruitment an asset
- Proven track record in a sales environment
- Familiarity with CRM and ATS
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)

- Highly organized and able to manage multiple requests at one time and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to deal with ambiguity and reprioritize tasks in response to unexpected changes in priorities/requests
- Communicating concisely via phone and email
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Previous financial institution experience (worked at Bank, used our systems)
- Strong writing skills
- Works independently with minimal support
- Ability to problem-solve and take initiative
- Fast learner with the ability to multi-task
Education
- Post-Secondary Diploma / Degree
