Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Education

Recognized high quality educator with a completed or nearly complete doctoral degree in a relevant education field.

Masters degree in an applicable field may be considered if combined with significant relevant experience.

Experience

Expert knowledge and experience of course content including: Classroom planning, management, and other basic practices of teaching in elementary schools.

Extensive successful experience teaching similar courses at the undergraduate level.

Experience as a Master Teacher in Elementary schools; preferably in the Quebec education system.

Knowledge of the Quebec Education program (QEP).

Familiarity with the 12 professional competencies specified in the Ministère de l’Éducation

Other

Knowledge of the impact and proven record of integrating pedagogical approaches anchored in equity, diversity and inclusion.

Familiarity using MyCourses, Zoom, and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences.

Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset.

Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital and pedagogical teaching and learning tools.

A commitment to working with a team of committed and engage instructors.

Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the course start date.
