We’re Envision Landscapes (https://envisionlandscapes.ca/) , a well-established landscaping business, serving Hamilton and its surrounding areas. We specialize in landscape construction, maintenance and snow removal. Currently, our dedicated and hardworking team is seeking a new Landscape Construction Crew Leader to join us, to lead our crew in delivering high-quality landscaping projects. In this role you will oversee all on-site aspects of our landscape construction projects. You will: * Manage the execution of construction projects, including planning labor and equipment requirements, material deliveries and timing to ensure completion of jobs within project deadlines * Manage safety, quality, and productivity of work at sites and/or in the shop/yard * Assist in preparing job sites prior to starting projects * Supervise, coordinate, and schedule day to day work activities of a crew of 2-4 employees * Delegate job tasks to appropriate crew members and assist in the completion of landscape constructions * Conduct on site orientations with employees, and employee training * Operate various tools and equipment, including heavy equipment, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovel, hammers, drills, etc. * Assist in construction of walkways, fences, decks, etc. * Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to delegate and complete work activities * Meet with subcontractors to supervise quality, efficiency, and deadlines * Complete and submit required daily paperwork * Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization * Ensure all work activities are carried out safely and efficiently, and in compliance with government and company PPE standards as well as local health and safety laws and regulations * Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner Working with Envision Landscapes: Since our inception in 2011, we’ve grown exponentially, and now employ a whole team of passionate landscaping professionals. As part of our team here’s what else you can expect: * Full-time, permanent position working 45-55 hours per week (including snow removal work in the winter) * Monday to Friday schedule, starting at 6:45 am, with very limited weekend work * Competitive wage $25-$35/hr depending on experience + potential for bonuses * Benefits after 3 months * Work clothes allowance * Growth opportunities within the company We’re looking for a team player known for their leadership and excellent communication skills. Qualifications: * 5 + years of experience in the landscape/construction industry * Valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract * Experience working with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment and materials * Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift * Ability to work outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, cold * High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent * Experience working as a crew leader would be an asset Above all, we’re looking for someone committed to showing up on time, working hard, and supporting their team to the best of their ability.
