Palliser Plains Co-op is growing independent retail that is part of the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). The CRS consists of Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) and over 200 independent retail co-operatives that help build, feed, and fuel individuals and communities in Western Canada. Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
-Promote the Co-op brand within the Agro department along with all other departments involved with Palliser Plains Co-op.
-Become the face of Tugaske Agro while building and maintaining relationships.
-Work closely with the Agro Division Manager to achieve Palliser Plains Co-op and Tugaske location goals.
-Accountable for Tugaske Agro Budget/P & L
-Focus on sales of all agro products under FCL categories including; Grow, Fuel, Equip, Build, and Feed.
-Provide top value and customer service throughout the sales process.
-Develop the agronomy services and fertilizer business at Palliser Plains.
-Attend FCL and other industry events to help stay on top of issues or opportunities in the agricultural industry.
-Work with our team members at Palliser Plains as well as FCL team members on a daily basis.
Requirements:
-Have at least 5 years experience in sales and/or management.
-Positive attitude and the drive to succeed in an environment that can demand long hours in the busy season.
-Teamwork mentality.
-Ability to build and maintain relationships through integrity and trust.
-Have basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
-A degree or diploma in agriculture is an asset. PAg or equivalent will be considered first but not compulsory.
-Have a valid drivers license and are bondable.
