Job description: We are looking for Custodian within Chilliwack and the surrounding area to join our Rosedale location.

This part time custodian role is responsible for performing custodial duties and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that the offices, common areas and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Cleaning

• Clean glass, dust surfaces, around light switches
• Spot clean carpets, walls and baseboards as needed
• Sweep and mop hard floor surfaces
• Empty all trash and recycling bins as required
• Washrooms – stock all supplies, wipe all areas, clean mirrors and frames, disinfect toilets, polish all bright work, remove any marks from walls, wet mop and rinse floors with germicidal disinfectant
• Breakrooms – disinfect counters, chairs and tabletops, clean microwave inside and outside
• Sweep floors, wipe fridges and remove spoiled food
• Disinfect all doorknobs, handles, light switches, table tops and chairs in common areas, paper towel dispensers, soap dispensers, fridge and microwave handles, anything that could be touched that you deem necessary to disinfect.
• Washrooms – walls and partitions cleaned, descale toilets, kick plates and push plates cleaned
• Empty garbage cans

Other

• Assist with stripping wax of floors (seasonal)
• Assist with facility deep clean
• Assist with moving furniture, boxes etc as required
• Report any problems and need of repairs to manager
• Practice safe work procedures at all times
• Other duties as assigned

This role is a part time day shift approximately 5 hours per day, with flexibility for start and end times.

Part-time hours: 25 per week
