Job Purpose
The AkzoNobel Coatings Customer Service Representative (CSR) is an important facet of the AkzoNobel Sales Team and provides support to all internal and external customers and plays a key role in our order fulfillment process.

Key Responsibilities
- Order Entry & Fulfillment: Order Entry, Send order and shipment confirmations, advise on late shipments and delays, coordinate with internal departments that may include manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, sales etc.
- Claims and Complaints: Researches and handles a variety of customer complaints.
- General Inquiries from internal or external customers by phone, email or in person.
- Other administrative duties and sales support: Maintains customer contact information, pass along leads as appropriate, tracking short pays, maintain customer pricing, generate reports as requested.
- Sales Support: Assist in creating RFP responses to potential client, handle inbound unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in a Customer Service or Sales Support Role.
- Education: High School Diploma.
- Communication skills: Attention to detail and accuracy when processing requests as well as the ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with everyone.
- Computer Skills: Must be generally computer literate and have basic knowledge Microsoft office programs such as Excel and Word. SAP knowledge is an asset.
- Organization Skills: Ability to multi-task and balance changing priorities. Must be able to communicate both in person and on the telephone, enter information on the computer and read various detailed instructions.
- Relationship Building: Our CSRs like our customers both internally and externally and take pride in the ability to create strong relationships.
