The Infrastructure and Project Finance team helps public and private sector clients finance, deliver and operate projects in a cost effective and efficient fashion. As part of our team, you’ll help our client with procurement strategies, project structuring, financing and negotiations.

What you’ll create and do

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Be part of a team providing advice on a broad cross-section of clients and sectors, including government, utilities, and private sponsors

Develop, review and maintain robust industry-standard complexx infrastructure financial models undertake analyses pertaining to project financing and funding

Carry out studies of infrastructure markets, related financial markets and infrastructure sub-sectors

Undertake research and stay current on developments in the Canadian infrastructure market

Engage with clients & sustain client relationships

Train and lead Analysts

Participate in writing reports, deliverables and information memorandums

Assists in the preparation of proposals for project pursuits and pitch decks for business development

Assists in administering and coordinating on global cross line of service initiatives including on global energy transition and sustainable infrastructure initiatives as well as on mandates with the United Nations and/or the World Bank

What you’ll bring to this role

An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work

A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives

Able to work independently; comfortable in ambiguous, fluid and time sensitive situations and working in scenarios where prior “templates” do not exist

Sector experience across power and renewables, regulated utilities and infrastructure sub-sectors

Experience in project finance / infrastructure investing / advisory from a consulting firm, lender, sponsor, developer, investor, government agency would be an asset

Familiar with financial statements and manner in which items across Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash flow statements operate and are linked

Familiarity with forecasting and/or free cash flow analyses desired

Willingness to learn Bloomberg, CapIQ, InfraDeals platforms

Interest in obtaining a professional financial designation (e.g. CBV or CFA or CPA) would be an asset

Open to travel (post-COVID) and ability to work in multiple languages would be an asset
