About Nithview Community:
Nithview Community is a seniors’ community designed to provide several types of
accommodation and services. Residents are able to choose the type of accommodation that is
most appropriate for their care needs and continue to live within the community of care as their
needs change. Emphasis is placed on assisting residents to live life to the fullest in this dynamic
residential setting.
WAGE: $17.25 – 20.36 – Dietary Aide
Reporting to the Director of Nutrition Services, the Dietary Aide is responsible for serving food,
dishwashing, and other related duties. They are also responsible to assist with food preparation
under the cook’s direction. We are looking for candidates with a great attitude to join our team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Safe Food Handling certificate is required
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum one (1) year experience working in food service fields, preferably in an
- institutional environment is preferred.
ABILITIES
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Must be able to relate, communicate and co-operate effectively with staff, residents, residents’ families, and the public
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and special diet needs of individual residents
- Able to operate kitchen utensils and equipment safely and efficiently
- Able to work in an environment that is subject to temperature change
- Able to tolerate standing and lifting throughout the workday
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
