About the Opportunity
- Outline clear expectations for all financial functions within the organization, including strategic objectives, financial targets, future projections and internal controls
- Work closely with the President to ensure financial objectives are consistent with the overall organization’s objectives
- Develop strong relationships with banks, professional service providers and external auditors
- Review financing requirements to identify opportunities for the organization
- Assess and manage foreign exchange risks on existing and future business, including new quote opportunities
- Overall financial reporting process for the organization
- Set clear goals for annual multi-year business plan process by working closely with the President to ensure alignment with operational targets
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing for clear growth targets for annual multi year business plan, including specific targeted programs
- Ensure all customer reporting and covenant compliance reporting is completed on a timeliness basis
- Monitor compliance with bank covenants
- Work with external auditors to plan an annual audit timeline
- Monitor existing and identify additional controls to safeguard the organization’s assets
- Formalize accounting policies and procedures, and ensure all sites are adhering to company policies and procedures
- Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of the federal and state income tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms by working closely with the professional firms in all jurisdictions
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning strategies that will maximize the use of tax credits and reduce tax liabilities and tax exposure during audit
About You
- CPA
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience
- Manufacturing Experience form a small/mid-sized company
- Budgeting & Forecasting Experience, Full Cycle & Financial Reporting Experience
- Willing to travel – some Travel (10% of the time) to plants around Ontario and a few in the US and Mexico
Salary Range
$135,000 – $180,000/year
