Job description: Director of Finance – Funds, banking, & Venture Capital, Operations and Compliance
Central Montreal – 50% Remote work

Working directly with CEO and Managing Partners – Excellent Compensation 120-140K
Exposure to many sectors and industries Canada and the US

It takes an expert to place one!

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limed to the following:

• Manage accounting records and account payables with our third party suppliers
• Assist in month-end, quarterly and year-end process and reporting for portfolio companies
• Oversee document management and execute different types of data entry Montréal, Toronto, Vancouver
• Document processes to strengthen financial controls
• Build, monitor and report annual and five-year budget
• Support investment team during financial due diligence;

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• CPA or are currently pursuing a CPA designation.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• 5-7 years minimum of relevant work experience performing and supporting accounting function
• Strong skills with MS Excel and online tools
• Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken)

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in fund accounting
• Basic knowledge or experience in investment compliance.
