Job description: Director, Information Technology
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Director, Information Technology (IT) is responsible for ensuring the client has integrated IT capability, strategies, investment and execution plans that are aligned with the company’s strategic and operational priorities. A strong people leader, you enable your team and cross functional groups to translate the client’s IT strategy into projects and detailed action plans which support the client’s vision and mission. This role is pivotal in the planning, design, configuration and implementation of applications and business systems which support core organizational functions and processes.
What you will do:
· As a member of the Senior Management Team, lead technology services across our helpdesk and infrastructure teams to ensure delivery of highly reliable services and support systems across the branch network
· Develop a strategic roadmap to ensure that technology enables our teams to deliver an easy and enjoyable experience to our customers
· Provide thought leadership and insight into technology trends, and championing technology to drive value and growth of the business
· Ensure maintenance plans, information controls, cybersecurity, monitoring and alerting systems, back-up and recovery strategies are in place
· Support the selection and acquisition of new systems, including requirements gathering, RFPs, organizing demos, negotiating contracts, and project management during implementation
· Direct and oversee all IT work processes infrastructure, architecture, development, and databases
· Coach, develop and build a customer centric team with capacity and capability
About you:
· At least 10 years experience in a senior IT role, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline
· Excellent knowledge of computer operations/systems, including but not limited to infrastructure, networking, applications, client services and security
· Engaging and energetic leader
· Ability to manage all aspects of multiple, high profile projects, including project management, change management, communication, and implementation
· Excellent communicator and relationship-builder
· Experience with CRM selection, implementation and support is preferred
· Experience with Eclipse, Jira, Microsoft 365 and/or Salesforce is an asset, though not required
