Job description: Our client, West Canadian Digital Imaging Inc. is looking for a Director of IT who will be a key member of the senior management team responsible for the development and execution of IT plans, budgets and projects aligned to overall business goals.

The Right Candidate will possess:

• 8+ years in progressive IT operation roles
• 3 – 5 years of experience overseeing IT teams and projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent) or a combination of experience and education is preferred
• Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, database and storage systems
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills
• Talent in negotiations and networking
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
• Able to work effectively under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
• Takes pride in work; maintains a neat and organized work environment
• A team player who comes to work with a positive attitude
• Demonstrates aspiration regarding career goals and leadership
• Solid working knowledge of relevant coding languages and security protocols
• Basic experience with EFI Pace, Webconnect, CMS and/or other ERP or ecommerce applications is considered an asset as is knowledge regarding the digital printing and/or document imaging industry
• Experience with Cloud and Data Storage Management
• Experience with Data Analytics and Automation
• Expertise with management of Microsoft Office/365
• A background in leading a software development team would be considered an asset

Typical Responsibilities Include:

• Strategic Leadership – overseeing the fulfillment and advancement of the annual IT Strategic Plan
• Team Leadership- leading a team of professionals to ensure they perform at their highest level
• IT Change Management
• Monitoring of IT incidents
• Overseeing the budget
• Contributing to corporate initiatives as requested
