Job title: Director of Sales – Precision Agriculture
Job description: The Director of Sales provides leadership and direction for focused Precision Agricultural product Sales. The Director of Sales is accountable for sales performance, market share, volume growth and aligning sales objectives with Brandt’s business strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieving sales growth and profitability throughout the assigned Territory
- Assisting in achieving asset management goals of turn and aging as well as protection of company assets. Included but not limited to new and used Wholegoods inventory
- Providing assistance in and guidance for, forecasting the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and market share goals in the assigned Territory
- Provide continuous input on the development of standard machine specifications, technology offerings, and encourage the selling of the FAB’s of the standards
- Assist in the management and development of all sales staff with the goal of building a motivated and successful workforce focused on long term success for the company and customers
- Contribute to achieving Market Share goals in the defined segments as agreed for the long-term success of our manufacturer and the company
- Provide feedback and input into future opportunities and competitive pressures
- Interact with the Manufacturer to provide vital user information to assist in the development of new Products
- Assists in compiling and utilize Transaction Pricing information to maximize market based pricing to increase margins in all equipment groups
- Facilitate and promote corporate sales strategy and initiatives through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting
- Achieving the financial sales performance targets as set out in the Company Budget
- Assist and have input in the recruitment, training, development, and management of dedicated Branch sales staff in the Agricultural technology space
- Provide input on advertising, promotion and marketing in connection with the Brandt Sales Support and Marketing departments
- Provide assistance with negotiation of sales contracts with large and very large customers
- Directly assist in improving sales opportunities with large, very large, difficult, and/or challenging customers
- Establish and maintain good public relations with communities, civic, political and industry personnel
- Achieve customer satisfaction throughout the Sales process
- Attendance at Industry events, active participation, and promotion of all Divisions of Brandt
- Other duties as are normally and customarily assigned by sales management
- Ongoing presence at all physical operating locations within the prescribed AOR of Brandt is critical. Minimum of 125 days must be spent traveling throughout the operating locations
- Continuous ongoing communication and contact with the VP of Sales – Agriculture on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
