Job description: What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Vendor IT Risk Management, this role – Director, Vendor IT Risk Assessments will be responsible for setting best practices, evolving, implementing and operating IT Risk Assessment end to end processes including assessments for all types of vendors (supplier, non-suppliers, etc.), assessment methodologies, robust reporting and monitoring. This role will be focusing on

The ideal leader will have extensive Technology and Cyber Risk industry relevant experience. Qualifications and certifications in 3rd party /vendor risk or risk management / technology /cyber risk, cyber security, information security and/or Risk Management (CISSP /CRISC) are preferred .Strong technical and data management related background and relationship management skills with ability to lead, motivate and inspire staff, including promote a culture of high performance that celebrates inclusivity and innovation.

What will you do?

  • Enhance / evolve 3rd party / vendor IT Risk assessment processes ensuring proper identification, remediation, reporting and monitoring of all risks
  • Enhance control assessment processes and continuous monitoring capabilities
  • Develop and operationalize robust vendor IT Risk reporting that will allow for proactive risk management activities with our suppliers
  • Seek industry trends and organization knowledge to understand and implement effective vendor IT Risk Assessment practices
  • Look for the opportunity to continuously enhance / evolve internal capabilities
  • Provide risk management insights through an ongoing process of gathering, analyzing and prioritizing actionable risk messages; develop content to support communication of the messages and enable technology teams to consume and apply the messages to their respective areas
  • Establish practices and communications to foster a culture of effective vendor risk management
  • Build and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders, team members, and other business, functional and support groups. Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure alignment of Global IT Risk and Global Cyber Security initiatives

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • At the senior manager/director level you have demonstrated experience in developing and applying leading practices in a large scale Information Security, Technology Risk or Vendor Risk environments, including vendor assessments, continuous monitoring and reporting
  • Knowledge of government and regulatory requirements as it relates to vendor IT and Cyber Risk management, including emerging trends and issues related to the subject matter
  • Ability to partner with diverse stakeholders in complex scenarios with excellent liaison, communication, influence and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of Information Security and Risk Management, including strong knowledge and experience in application development and data management concepts and governance practices
  • Industry recognized qualifications and certifications in Information Security and/or Risk Management (CISSP /CRISC)
  • 5 or more years of people management experience and proven leadership and coaching abilities
