Job description: The Long Point Region Conservation Authority invites applications for an Education Centre Coordinator at Backus Heritage Conservation Area. The successful candidate will report to the Outdoor Educator and will be responsible for greeting visitors and conducting tours at the Conservation Education Centre.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada, be a resident of Ontario and be between the ages 15 and 30;
• Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
• Neat and tidy appearance;
• Outgoing personality and excellent communication/phone skills;
• Interest in park operations and local natural and cultural history an asset
• A drivers license and reliable vehicle is an asset;
• Must be able to provide a satisfactory police record check.

Responsibilities:

• Meet and greet all visitors to the Conservation Education Centre;
• Conduct tours and keep the public areas neat and tidy;
• Telephone reception;
• Assist with special projects and Conservation Education programming as required;
• Provide excellent customer and client services;
• Evening and weekend work is required.
