In your role, you will:

  • Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements
  • Work closely with Smart Parts Program Manager to identify key initiatives to improve the program contents
  • Break down the maintenance costs at the system level for each aircraft model
  • Identify the main cost drivers in terms of maintenance for each aircraft model
  • Identify initiatives that generate savings on aircraft maintenance
  • Reconcile actual maintenance costs with theoretical maintenance costs and our financial models
  • Compare the contractual reliability of each system with the actual reliability data
  • In partnership with the procurement team, lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and internal departments regarding reliability and costing
  • Support all senior leadership requests for Smart Services cost analysis from a strategic stand-point
  • Gather market feedback on desired improvements to cost reduction processes
  • Maintain knowledge competitor offerings and market requirements.
  • Within the established guidelines, manage non-labor expense budget and submit expense reports in a timely manner

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

  • You ideally possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • You have ten (10) years’ experience in aviation and / or aircraft maintenance
  • You possess Product knowledge of business aircraft maintenance and programs (warranty, PBH, RIMP, CAMP)
  • You have working knowledge of aircraft service industry and what drives business margin
  • You have Customer Service background / experience with superb customer orientation
  • You possess Leadership skills necessary to engage teams to impact and influence results
  • You have strong communications experience in both verbal and written form. And you must be able to speak, read and write in French and in English
  • You are able to work in teams or independently as situation requires with urgency and drive
  • You are autonomous, independent and self-motivated
  • You are able to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • You have the Computer skills necessary to learn and / or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and web-based applications
  • You are flexible to travel and attend meetings before / after regularly scheduled hours
