We’re looking for an Equipment Inventory Clerk (Part-Time) who will be based in Saskatoon, SK.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Equipment Manager, this role is ideal for someone ‘hands-on’, who enjoys working with customers, and who has an eagle eye for detail.
In this role you’ll:
Be the first point of contact for customer questions and issues related to the heavy equipment inventory
Administer shipping & receiving documents related to the movement of the equipment to and from the auction site, and enter related information into the appropriate software systems
Accurately identify equipment serial numbers, record basic equipment descriptions and label the equipment correctly
Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all
Provide assistance as required to the rest of the Detailed Equipment Inspection (DEI) Team
Assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups in the field between peak periods, as required
Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.
Here’s what you bring:
1 to 2+ years of similar experience
High school graduate. Any post-secondary education is an asset
Knowledge of — or the desire to learn about — construction equipment and trucks
Proficient with computers and good working knowledge / experience using MS Office Suite products (e.g. Word, Excel). Documentation processing experience is an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
You must be process-oriented and comfortable adhering to company policies and procedures to be successful in this role
Strong customer service orientation. You have a natural ease dealing with customers
Excellent organizational skills. You’re the type that leaves no detail unattended
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
Highly motivated, goal-oriented and self-directed, and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively. You thrive working as part of a team and pitch-in wherever needed
You like to work hard but still have fun on the job.
This job will require you to:
Have a valid, clean driver’s license
Work both indoors and outdoors year-round and climb on and off large equipment and trucks
Work regular overtime, including weekend hours. You can expect to work extra hours prior to each sale, during each sale, and after each sale
Travel to other auction sites.
