We are looking for a detail and customer-oriented Equipment Inventory Clerk(Part-Time) for our Chilliwack, British Columbia yard. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for customer questions and issues related to the heavy equipment inventory.

  • No auction experience is needed to work in this role! Lots of hands-on training will be provided.*

Your day to day

Under the direction of the Gate Manager, you’ll administer shipping & receiving documents, identify, record and label equipment serial numbers and assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups.

What you get:

Working at least 40 hours a week with time and a half-paid overtime

Weekend & Overtime: expect to work extra hours for 2-3 weeks prior to each sale

You’re a team player, helping wherever needed; but you can also self-start and work independently

What you do:

Provide assistance as required to the rest of the Detailed Equipment Inspection (DEI) Team

Work both indoors and outdoors year-round and climb on and off large equipment and trucks

Work regular overtime, including weekend hours. You can expect to work extra hours prior to each sale, during each sale, and after each sale

Travel to other auction sites

Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all

Here’s what you bring:

1 to 2+ years of similar experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

High school graduate. Any post-secondary education is an asset

Knowledge of — or the desire to learn about — construction equipment and trucks

Strong customer service orientation. You have a natural ease dealing with customers

Excellent organizational skills. You’re the type that leaves no detail unattended

Proficient with computers and good working knowledge / experience using MS Office Suite products (e.g. Word, Excel). Documentation processing experience is an asset

You must be process-oriented and comfortable adhering to company policies and procedures to be successful in this role

Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines

Highly motivated, goal-oriented and self-directed, and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively. You thrive working as part of a team and pitch-in wherever needed
