Alberta Infrastructure provides public infrastructure that contributes to the province’s economy and Albertans’ quality of life. The ministry is accountable for the long-term planning of provincial public infrastructure to support key social programs and services and economic development. It designs, builds, manages and maintains government-owned and operated facilities and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that school and health infrastructure meets the needs of all Albertans now and in the future. It is also responsible for alternative ways to finance and deliver infrastructure projects including public-private partnerships.

Role

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic Integration and Operations Division, you will provide strategic leadership, direction and coordination of a broad range of planning, policy and intergovernmental relations for the department. This includes policy development and legislative planning and working with other governments across Canada negotiating agreements. You will oversee the development of best practice in project management and project governance as well as build tools and resources for continuous process improvement. Your excellent communication, engagement and relationship skills will ensure your success working with internal and external complex stakeholders. As an executive leader you will contribute to the achievement of the department business plan and goals, as well as ensure integration with other branches for overall department success.

Qualifications

Success in this role calls for a progressive leader with a background that includes significant related senior management leadership experience. You bring a strong understanding of policy development, intergovernmental relationships, governance practices as well as change management experience. You bring demonstrated strategic planning and corporate service leadership such as policy development, legislative review planning as well as an ability to work effectively with stakeholders to manage diverse expectations and interests. You can demonstrate the ability to collaborate and influence change across multiple areas without direct authority. A respected leader with experience leading staff, you are committed to building strong lines of communication and trust as well as empowering your teams to achieve results through performance excellence. A related degree is preferred.

Salary

$4,934.42 – $6,484.75 Bi-weekly ($128,788 – $169,251 yearly)
