Job description: Mission:

The primary role of the Finance Manager is to ensure the understanding and integrity of the Boucherville plant’s costs and the financial information reported in the system (SAP). He will also build and analyze reports related to industrial costs and acting as co-pilot in steering the performance of the plant.

More specifically:

  • Calculate and analyze cost variances based on targets;
  • Participate and act as co-pilot of the industrial performance in different team meetings regarding raw material losses, labor costs, maintenance costs, etc…
  • Responsible for standard cost quality in SAP. Update monthly standard costs and ensure integration of these costs into new projects. Analyze cost variances based on previous standard costs;
  • Participate in the construction of the cost estimates for the plant (Rolling Forecast);
  • Build and develop new cost analysis tools;
  • Monthly and annual closure of industrial costs;
  • Be responsible for monitoring the stocks of raw materials. Understand and follow the movements of stocks of raw materials and ensure the application of the inventory procedure. Define provisions to reduce the risk of obsolescence.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration or related fields
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, including experience in calculating industrial costs (“Costing”) desired;
  • Have a good command of Excel and knowledge of ERP information systems, SAP (an asset);
  • Knowledge of the structure of financial statements and basic accounting transactions;
  • Bilingual (French and English).
